Acculevel stands strong in the multifaceted construction industry, offering reliable and quality basement, crawlspace, and foundation improvement services. Since its inception over two decades ago, this family-owned business has risen to prominence as a trusted and innovative team of construction professionals.

Comprehensive solutions, encompassing everything from reinforcing compromised foundations to mitigating foundation issues by leveraging deep foundation systems, set the team apart. Along with its fresh take on foundational solutions, Acculevel cultivates a distinctive reputation for transparency and continuous education, strengthening the bedrock of quality and assuring customer relationships that outlast any construction project.

Continuing Education––a Key Building Block

At the core of Acculevel’s mission lies a dedication to comprehensive education on deep foundation solutions like helical piers. While many in the industry turn to traditional products, helical piers have massive untapped potential and versatility. These non-invasive piers can be used in existing foundations, or underneath sagging or tilted concrete slabs, ensuring stable and long-lasting spot repairs.

Using these piers and other robust deep foundation products, the team is able to support and reinforce a wide variety of structures, whether for completing new construction projects or increasing existing footing capabilities.

An example is a warehouse where cranes are used for heavy-duty tasks such as moving large metal parts. These cranes typically operate on footings designed to support a specific weight limit. By leveraging helical piers, however, Acculevel is equipped to enter tight spaces in existing infrastructure to augment that very foundational capacity. This allows for the safe operation of more powerful cranes without the costly and tedious process of total foundation replacement.

The team keenly focuses on remedying current processes that need a refresh, prioritizing cost efficiency and quality at every turn in the fast-paced construction landscape.

Historically, resources like helical pier systems were widely recognized for residential applications, such as stabilizing foundations. Yet, misconceptions pigeonholed them as fit only for certain structures or loads. Acculevel is consistently challenging this perspective by illustrating how slight modifications can empower these piers to support expansive structures with minimum intrusion. By dismantling outdated notions, Acculevel showcases the transformative capabilities of helical piers in diverse construction situations.

An Unwavering Commitment to Customer-Centricity

Acculevel’s services and solutions are developed with the goal of bolstering the structural integrity and overall safety of buildings.

A philosophy deeply rooted in a customer-centric approach guides it in finding the best solutions to protect and preserve the value of homes, apartment complexes, and commercial structures for years.

An engineering team that facilitates the design aspects of the projects and the products to be implemented enhances strong customer relationships. This crew is tasked with building a project around the product at hand and vice versa. Often, engineering teams that are not familiar with designing helical piers and other deep foundation products devise each pier for high load capacity. Acculevel and its engineering team, on the other hand, meticulously engineer each component for the specific load per pier, which leads to significant cost savings for builders and general contractors.

“We have been working with a group of experienced engineering professionals for the last 17 years,” says Nolan Beery, director of sales and business at Acculevel. “Having these relationships is important to ensure we are on schedule and turn around a project on time, even in an emergency setting.”

In addition to these professionals, Acculevel has a robust production team that prioritizes the stockpiling of essential materials to avoid backlogs leading to project delays and unnecessary costs. There are also experienced installers on the team, contributing to higher efficiency, quicker task execution, and greater cost savings.

Our top priority is to ensure projects are build-ready as quickly as possible. Because of this, we're extremely transparent with our products, their limitations, and their strengths

Acculevel is not a franchise or part of any dealer network, which allows the team to stay flexible and open to more cost-effective and efficacious products across the entire market. It invests in shopping for higher-quality materials at good prices.

Grounded in Expertise

At the heart of all of Acculevel’s operations are its people. Despite experiencing significant growth in the Midwest U.S., it has strategically maintained a small team of professionals who are passionate about their craft, ensuring the quality of its work is not compromised. The team is an amalgamation of experienced problem solvers, committed individuals, and seasoned crews, all dedicated to delivering superior service to customers. This vast experience is channeled into every project to drive greater cost savings, along with a focus on speed, diligence, and safety.

Guiding this incredible team to deliver excellence on each project is Nolan’s father, Andy Beery, Acculevel’s CEO. His experience spans more than three decades, allowing for a wealth of wisdom and knowledge to be passed down to the team. This has demonstrably increased the level of institutional knowledge that can be deployed in the field, allowing for better consultation with clients on various foundation-related problems and their solutions.

“It’s one thing to see these projects and the associated issues on paper. It’s completely different once you arrive on the site and work through those problems. We have the experience that equips us to make adjustments on the fly, but we also care enough about the details and tackle hurdles the right way,” says Nolan Beery.

The team’s collective expertise and unique project management approach coalesce to create a system that consistently exceeds expectations. While the team might be entrusted with managing a small portion of the overall project, they ensure they leave a big impact by promptly resolving challenges and guaranteeing seamless workflows.

An Interactive Approach for Better Project Management

Underpinning Acculevel's operations is a unique project management methodology that prioritizes constant communication. Every stakeholder is kept in the loop, from the property owner to the installation team, general contractor, engineering, and design teams.

Each project participant is fully briefed regarding timelines, expectations, and potential roadblocks. Acculevel is a firm believer in precise communication, both internally and externally, which is regarded as the backbone of efficient collaboration and the catalyst to successful project completion.

One particular instance of its commitment to communication can be seen during its work on an apartment complex construction project, where the client’s team was preparing to excavate and pour the building’s footings. The excavator quickly realized the soil was highly unstable. This roadblock would typically delay a construction timeline by several weeks due to the need for digging and re-compacting the soil. However, Acculevel was ready to take up the challenge and completed all the footings within a week and a half, using helical piers. Consistent communication with the geotechnical engineer, project leadership, and the internal team allowed for a seamless solution for a seemingly daunting issue. This collaboration, combined with the team’s knowledge of leveraging the power of piers, facilitated the swift and successful execution of the project.

Acculevel operates under the guiding principle of planning for the worst while striving for the best. Contingency planning is embedded in its DNA, enabling the team to navigate unforeseen challenges swiftly and effectively.

The power of communication is complemented with utmost transparency. Clients are equipped with all the necessary information to quickly make critical decisions and contribute to the overall project development.

“Our top priority is to ensure projects are build-ready as quickly as possible. Because of this, we're extremely transparent with our products, their limitations, and their strengths,” Nolan Beery says.

Legacy and Future Expansion

Acculevel was born out of an innovative vision to embrace new and practical approaches to implementing deep foundation solutions, breaking barriers related to capacity and space constraints. This vision is still shepherded today, echoing its focus on structural integrity and longevity.

Carrying forward a rich legacy, Acculevel aims to leave a lasting impact in the industry by continuously doing the right thing for its clients. This ethos resonates in every project it undertakes, defining the very essence of who they are.

With a tight-knit team of ardent go-getters, it actively seeks opportunities, never says no to a challenge, and always aims to bring the best solutions forward without limitations.

“If anyone simply needs information about these processes in order to make a choice on a project, we’re quick to help them,” says Nolan Beery. “We wholeheartedly believe that even if we don’t win a particular job, we can still help the industry as a whole. That’s a plus.”

Looking toward the future, Acculevel’s focus remains unwavering, expanding its reach while continuing to uphold the high foundation construction standards it has set, especially with deep foundation solutions. The future of construction looks promising with experts like Acculevel at the helm, driving the field forward with its innovative practices and unyielding dedication to its craft.
