They had relied on local subcontractors to self-manage and coordinate their work, but that approach quickly led to confusion, missed safety protocols, scheduling conflicts, and limited access to key areas due to poor communication with military personnel.

Bellerose was brought in as a short-term band-aid solution to stabilise the project while Johnson Controls searched for in-house superintendents. What began as a single contract quickly expanded as the value of Bellerose’s involvement became clear. The team’s ability to bring order to the chaos led to the addition of two more full-time site managers, expanding the contract in both time and scope. The project was so successful that Bellerose Project Management and Johnson Controls Inc. will continue their successful relationship into next year with upcoming work on the new QEii infirmary project.
