EBS
A Rich Heritage of Construction Excellence

There’s a new champion in the construction industry––pre-engineered metal buildings (PEMB).

Designed to be highly durable, versatile and sustainable, PEMBs have become a popular choice for a wide range of construction needs. As the demand for high-grade prefabricated structures increases, EBS stands out as a trusted partner and strategic problem-solver that takes projects from blueprint to build.
With roots dating back over four decades, EBS Solutions, a Butler Manufacturing builder, redefines construction excellence with premium PEMBs, breathing life into architectural visions.

Butler Manufacturing, an industry pioneer, is known for its top-tier metal building solutions, including state-of-the-art roof and wall systems. Combining Butler’s products and its extensive breadth of experience, EBS specializes in rejuvenating existing structures through re-roofing and reskinning.

The team’s commitment to adhering to project budget and timeline dictates a level of professionalism and reliability that stands out. For projects that are way over budget, EBS leverages its design-build expertise and cost-effective Butler systems to make them economically viable while maintaining the architect’s vision. Through its integrated approach, the team engages in the early design and planning stages and works closely with designers, architects and AE firms to provide recommendations that fit the owner’s schedule and budget, reducing the possibility of cost overrun.

“We adopt a full-service approach for design-build projects, forging a partnership with clients that goes all the way from initial napkin sketches to documentation. We begin by understanding their needs and then come up with a plan that fits their budget,” says Chuck Aungst, division manager, EBS. “Our high-touch service and constant communication give clients the confidence in our ability to deliver a project that corresponds with their vision.”

The use of technology tools such as BuildingBlok for project management ensures efficiency and timely project delivery. Drones and 3D modeling come into play when projects demand more sophistication. Going beyond design and construction, EBS offers maintenance and building evaluation services, customized according to client requirements.

An instance that underscores EBS’ capabilities is the successful execution of the du Pont Country Club project. The century-old two-story building had a mezzanine floor full of exercise equipment with a glass system around it. Fixed base connections used in the structure affected both the steel and the foundation, compromising the structural integrity.

They wanted to bring their new state-of-the-art fitness center and pool to life but the estimated cost for the project was several million dollars over budget. They reached out to the EBS team to contain costs and ensure the project reflects DuPont Country Club’s quality and legacy.

The EBS team used Butler’s MR-24 roof and Express Mezz system, along with a bracing system that reduced the cost significantly. High-quality yet cost-effective materials, like the storefront system in place of a curtain wall for the athletic center’s glass system, were used. The pool decking was also switched to brushed concrete, with other materials like stainless steel for the gutter system.

The transformation was astounding—a visually appealing fitness center, carefully blending modernity with the original aesthetic of the club. The task not only adhered to budgetary restrictions but exemplified the flexibility and cost-efficiency inherent in pre-engineered metal building solutions.

Being part of the EBS family, an association of five companies, the team is backed by additional resources from an extensive network that helps with different aspects like construction management services and 3D modeling.

“Our support network and wide-ranging experience allow us to respond to customer needs quickly,” says Adam DiSabatino, project manager at EBS.

Continuously fulfilling client expectations and delivering projects that marry aesthetics with efficiency, EBS demonstrates that the future of construction is indeed pre-engineered and precision-driven. Its legacy, underpinned by decades of expertise, ensures that every project is approached with a client-centric perspective.
