ESA engineering is a multidisciplinary consulting firm founded by Francesco Gori, the current CEO, in 1994, in Italy. Today, with offices in Italy, the UK, France, Switzerland, and the Middle East, the company combines its deep experience and knowledge on a wide range of projects around the world, embracing diverse stages from the feasibility, design, and construction phase up until the maintenance. Following is the conversation that Construction Business Review had with Leonardo Gori, the Partner and General Director of International Offices at ESA engineering.

What are the main factors of the company’s success?

By integrating all the disciplines and skills necessary to complete the projects, the company is a reference point for private users, retailers, real estate, hotel industry and institutions in need of consultancy in engineering, architecture, and environmental sustainability. Today, construction requires higher standards of innovation, sustainability, and adaptability, integrating avant-garde and cutting-edge technologies that are user-friendly. The challenge in the built design is to provide ideal solutions that can be adapted in real-time to technological developments and the needs of modern living. Thanks to our experience and multidisciplinary expertise, a staff of about 300 professionals, ESA engineering represents an absolute protagonist in the national and international panorama of building design.

How do you combine excellence and environmental sustainability?

Italian touch & international vocation. What are the prospects?

The trend of recent years has strengthened ESA engineering’s international presence. After ten years of experience in the design of retail & corporate buildings in Switzerland and Turkey, ESA engineering has inaugurated a new office in Geneva and a new partnership in Istanbul. Let’s not forget the well-established foreign subsidiaries (ESA Middle East, ESA France, ESA engineering UK).

ESA Middle East was established in the year 2012, with the objective to offer fully integrated services to clients within the Middle East Region.

The operation started with only a few employees on board. Through this small team, we have developed a culture of teamwork that allows us to combine quality and expertise and become professionals in what we do to deliver optimum services to our clients. ESA Middle East growth was significant, let’s say, “by mistakes,” during these initial stages, with the spirit of leadership that has been instilled in every employee, combined with the knowledge and exposure both in the local and international market, we thrived and saw an equal continued growth and greater demand in our services over the years.
