Law firms that adopt a client-centric approach can often be the difference between a stressful litigation experience and a well-supported journey toward resolution. Hennessy & Roach elevates these standards further in the construction law space by following its motto, “service on steroids.”

“We are prepared to protect our clients to the fullest extent in all kinds of construction-related incidents,” says John Coleman, chairperson of the civil liability department and co-chairperson of the transportation and logistics department.

Hennessy & Roach’s team of well-educated and well-experienced legal experts orchestrate effective outcomes by walking clients through the entire legal process. This includes preparing individuals with verbal responses in the event of judicial interrogation. Every employee at the firm is well-versed in OCP, OCIP and CGL policies.

With a staunch dedication toward client welfare, Hennessy & Roach also emphasizes building legal awareness. It conducts seminars to provide insights into the litigation process in the construction industry, providing the necessary legal knowledge and preparing them for disputes that may arise.

Litigation Made Easy

Complexities in litigation can be unsettling. Hennessy & Roach eliminate them by taking a calculated approach to settling conflicts. It delivers a personalized solution for all construction-related incidents, from general liability to insurance coverage.

Regardless of the scenario, its loyalty is to the client, whether brought in as a direct legal partner or as a third party by insurance companies. It takes the responsibility of maintaining primary contact with clients and providing them with an honest evaluation of their legal situation. Clients are notified of all the case developments so that they can make informed decisions.

The firm understands that litigation can be a lengthy and stressful process that affects all kinds of clients, from big contractors to family-owned construction businesses. It focuses on moving a case along as quickly as possible and achieving a result that protects them. The team strives to keep clients out of the courtroom and on the job.

Building a Repertoire of Solving Complex Litigation Challenges

Client success stories where Hennessy & Roach demonstrated its proficiency are numerous. In one instance, it worked with an underground drilling contractor responsible for installing optical fiber in a small mid-western city. The contractor damaged an unmarked pine line, causing a gas leak and a catastrophic explosion. It resulted in property damage, injuries and the death of some first responders. Following the incident, more than 40 people claimed to suffer from PTSD, including bystanders. Some contractors involved in the project were bankrupted by the number of claims, further complicating the case.

We are prepared to protect our clients to the fullest extent in all kinds of construction-related incidents.

Hennessy & Roach responded immediately and worked rigorously with the investigating agencies to prepare and discover evidence, control the dialogue to protect the client and organize the documents for the defense. It used arbitrators to move potential litigation over personal and property damage to mediation. Despite the complex nature of the case, the firm met all of the challenges and delivered a favorable outcome for the client.

In another instance, it assisted a subcontractor working at a power plant. During the transfer process of a very large piece of equipment, a crane malfunctioned, resulting in one death and multiple injuries. Hennessy & Roach’s team was the first to arrive at the location and navigated the dialogue, gathering evidence to protect the defendant. It prevented the situation from capturing the spotlight and ensured a favorable outcome for the client.

From its managing attorney to the support staff, every employee is dedicated to providing clients with “service on steroids.” It goes the extra mile and communicates with clients, whether contractors with sophisticated systems or independent subcontractors, to understand their situation and craft effective solutions.

Hennessy & Roach stands out in the complex landscape of construction law for its focus on effective conflict resolution and commitment to delivering exceptional service.
