Some of the very well benefits of BIM include improved coordination and clash detection, reduced risk, and improved scheduling and sequencing. However, the industry's use of BIM across the construction lifecycle is still somewhat scattered.

"Construction Specialties has a storied history of providing durable, long-lasting products to improve building solutions and benefit communities," said Benjamin Glunz, CEO of BIMsmith. "As a major leader in architectural and engineered products, we are pleased to welcome them to the BIMsmith platform."

BIMsmith, the largest building product research system for building professionals, and Construction Specialties, the largest manufacturer of wall protection, wall coverings, handrails, crash rails, and corner guards, have collaborated to provide the architecture and design community with a new suite of Building Information Modeling (BIM) resources.

The collaboration entails the development of digital product models for Construction Specialties.
