BIM took over tasks and consolidated them into a single platform, handling planning, designing, workflow setup, evaluating material quantities, and cost estimation.


FREMONT, CA: Building information modeling is a technology that ensures various AEC industry processes work together. These procedures might range from being purely physical to including both structural and functional elements. Additionally, BIM enables the virtual construction of the entire building, complete with every component, on a computer. The benefit of utilizing BIM is that it will significantly lower the number of errors and clashes. The engineers can find clashes and fix them when all the components are built on a computer. Everything is arranged in the final design to produce a faultless construction outlay. 


Less rework


The time and money spent on repairing collisions during construction are greatly reduced. Less rework is required because the stakeholders and everyone involved will be aware of the project's scope thanks to the almost completed BIM Model of the entire structure. In addition, these models allow for the resolution of conflicts before the start of construction.


Better outcome


After implementing BIM, the project owners and managers noticed that the project outcome had improved significantly, not just cost-efficiency and time-saving. However, various other factors are associated with a better project outcome due to BIM.
