The technological advances witnessed by the construction sector promises faster and efficient working practices, but the productivity levels remain to be a stumbling block for many European contractors.

FREMONT, CA: The cost issue is prevalent in the construction industry, telematics, robotics, machine control, and a myriad safety and uptime improvements are also unable to defeat this challenge.

Not very long ago, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), also known as drones, were regarded as toys at worst. Although drones gather immense amounts of data on their sites, it was very expensive. In the present day, few drone specialists claim that the machines can turn out to be a game-changer as they have the potential to augment productivity on construction projects. The commercial drones have already made their mark in agriculture and renewable energy industries. Still, now better drones and intelligent software can be ready to inspire construction contractors to use it.

The new software allows the project managers to visualize their sites with panoramic imagery and videos, and also overlay plan drawings on drone imagery, highlight grading inaccuracies, health and safety challenges, and so forth.

The Drones Featured at Technology Shows

The most important element in construction focused tech shows is the display of flying tech, such as drones. The powerful technology is said to be used in conjunction with drone flights. It is convenient and easy to use. The user has to install an app onto the desktop, and then wherever the internet is available, the user can log in to get into it. Drone technology can be leveraged for multiple reasons, to name a few, people can get a visual context by utilizing the photographic interface, specialized sensors can be attached to give the capabilities of the drone-like under-high resolution, hyperspectral and multispectral, thermal and oblique imaging.

Long-Range Drones

Long-range drones, like the new Delair drone, have an impressive maximum flying time of up to 135 minutes and a maximum range of 20 km.
